1st Response EMS Training Institute
1st Response EMS Training Institute is now recruiting for potential Emergency Medical Technician-B students. EMT’s provide basic life support which includes: CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator), use of bag valve masks, suctioning and splinting (including spinal immobilization and traction splints). EMT’s duties include rapid in field treatment and transport. EMT’s also work in conjunction with other medical providers, such as paramedics, nurses and physicians. When operating in the pre-hospital environment, their actions are governed by protocols and procedures set by their system’s medical director.
The 1st Response EMS Training Institute is dedicated to the development of quality Emergency Medical Technicians. We believe in continuous training which creates highly skilled, motivated, critical thinkers.
About our program
Our program is accredited through Loyola University Medical Center.
The class is a 16 week program that will be held 2 nights a week.
Tuition (includes classroom book).
Job placement – upon passing the state/national test.
Maximum of 20 students per class.
Minimum Program Requirements
18 years of age
High School Diploma or GED
Good writing and communication skills
Passion for learning and helping others
